I don't know whether my parents deliberately did not take me to the cinema much when I was younger, knowing what poor showings would be on offer, but this film was the only Walt Disney animated feature that I ever went to see when it came out at the cinema, right up until Wreck it Ralph. And good thing too, that it was this one; it's sweet and funny and pleasantly animated, though I remember that the first 10 minutes confused me too. I almost feel jealous of children growing up now, who have been so lucky with delights like Tangled, Frozen and Big hero 6 (which I found nicely charming in a dynamic sort of way) coming out in such quick succession.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14812333.post-44607788525136318262010-09-24T02:53:05.599-05:002010-09-24T02:53:05.599-05:00There is no way Stitch could have escaped from the...There is no way Stitch could have escaped from the clear container attached to the big alien's spaceship in the end chase scene. He is completely sealed inside the container, yet somehow passes straight through its clear walls just because the plot needs him to. It's the worst bit of cheating since Tantor managed to climb out of the ocean onto the deck of the boat in Tarzan.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14812333.post-68494852153718913792009-12-14T08:41:47.213-06:002009-12-14T08:41:47.213-06:00This movie felt strechted out (ie boring), And als...This movie felt strechted out (<i>ie</i> boring), And also kind of sappy and sentimental. I think it's a small waste to dump the Stitch characer in a movie like this, he has such potential for comedy and anarchy.
